#11: Pretty Ugly

Pretty Ugly is a selected exhibition project shown March 12 – April 7 at the Roski IFT Gallery, chosen from a competitive pool of students. The work interrogates how taste is constructed—challenging binaries of pretty/ugly, good/bad, and timeless/expired—by reframing everyday objects as critical sites of value, power, and visibility. Through installation, the project invites viewers to question who decides what is “good design,” and why.
